If you want to buy a house in Liverpool at auction, there are several auction houses that operate in the area. Some of my favourites include Sutton Kersh, Venmore and Edward Mellor. Venmore is marketed as one of Liverpool’s first auction houses and one of the best auction houses in the North West. It’s been a a Liverpool Auction House Since 1849. The company usually holds 7 auctions a year held at the Town Hall, but they have been running online since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. Sutton Kersh
Sutton Kersh are my go to Auction House for picking up properties in the L6, L13 and L15 areas. Sutton Kersh were easy to get registered with as they ask you to download the Credify App to verify your identity. You can do a selfie, upload ID and upload bank statements and proof of funds all on this App. Once you have been verified, you then need to fill in a separate form for each lot that you want to bid on.
Bond Wolf
Although predominantly auctioning off Midlands based properties, Bond Wolf also have quite a few properties up North including Liverpool, Wirral and St Helens. They have quite a few L6 and L13 properties right now. With Bond Wolf, they rarely accept offers before auction date – some of the other auction houses are more likely to accept offers prior and take it off the market.
Auction House
Auction House is the UKs largest residential and commercial auction company who also deal with properties in Liverpool. They run national online auctions with the usual eBay style bidding. This year they will hold a whopping 200 auctions in the UK! On the website you can filter properties by typing in ‘Liverpool’ to the search box. You can also look for the ‘North West’ auction lots.
Edward Mellor Auctions
Edward Mellor are specialists in North West properties with branches in Stockport, Manchester, Tameside and Liverpool. They are currently running auctions online. Browse the auction catalogue to find a property that interests you, view it online and then set up an account and register to bid.
